Title VI is currently open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for drive-thru meals ONLY. We have temporarily moved to the Venue, until our Title VI building is repaired.

 

The UKB Title VI Program provides free lunches 5 days a week to elderly Indian people 55 years of age or over. Elderly must sign up with a senior for and provide a UKB or CDIB card. Spouses are eligible to eat for free.

Guest meals must pay $5 and children 12 and under are $3. Volunteers eat free for (bringing an elder or taking elders food, donating time in the kitchen thru noon hour).

Meals on Wheels are offered (within Tahlequah area only) for those without transportation, a medical condition or doctor statement requiring you cannot drive due to a medical condition.

"Helping Hands" Native American Caregiver Support Program

Who are caregivers? Are you a 24-Hour caregiver? If you are assisting a frail elder or a grandparent raising a grandchild under the age of 18, then you are eligible for the caregiver program. 

We help families care for an older relative with chronic illness or aging disabilities. We provide support services for families, caregivers and grandparents raising grandchildren.

Eligibility: 

  • Caregivers or families caring for frail persons age 55 or older.

  • Enrolled member of a Federally Recognized Tribe and live within UKB jurisdiction. 

  • UKB exclusive served first.

  • Family members (55 and older) who are primary caregivers residing with a child (18 and younger).

Services:

  • Individual Counseling

  • Support Group

  • Training to assist caregivers in making decisions to their caregiving roles. 

  • Respite Care: To enable caregivers to be temporarily relieved from their caregiving responsibilities.
